“Just as the 19th century was powered by coal and 20th century by oil, the 21st century will be powered by the sun, the wind, and renewable energy within the earth.

According to the U.S. Government Accountability Office, at least 36 states expect water shortages by year 2013.

Enter Ecoblue Cube, introduced by Damien Cox, CEO of Ecoblue based out of Tucson, Arizona. This entrepreneur found his inspiration in the bathroom. Ecoblue, introduced in 2005, is an odor-eating cube and it’s bacteria actually eats away buildup, creating a toilet that’s nearly flush-free. One flush a day is all you need.

For those of you who don’t know, the toilet is accountable for most of indoor water usage. Cox says, “Rather than create expensive technologies to generate new water, the best approach is to conserve the assets we already have. That way, money is better spent and it creates incredible opportunities for entrepreneurs and inventors.”

He is reporting sales of $100,000 in the last 12 months, and is now expanding his distribution to Canada, Mexico and even South America.

Go Organic!

More companies are starting to become more environmentally aware, and as a result they are needing green service providers:

  • Inspectors

  • Certified organic processing

  • Restaurant suppliers

  • Conservation consulting

  • Green landscapers

  • Green roof installers

  • Green janitorial services

Over 54% of consumers are more likely to buy products or services when they know a business is environmentally conscious. And 34% are more likely to buy stock in the company. (Natural Marketing Institute).
